Nancy Cruz has a large family, with five brothers and four sisters. Her father is a tailor and raised his family in the tropical city of Caranavi, Bolivia. Her mother died when she was seven years old.
In 2003 Nancy came to El Alto with her brother Diego to study at the university. They lived and studied and worked together to make ends meet, and during these years Nancy met the Lord in a personal way, though she had attended church since she was a girl. Before she met the Lord, she says, her life had no meaning, no destination. She came to a point where she looked for anything to fill the hole in her. But from the moment she met the Lord, He began calling her to his work. She worked with children and with youth in her church and in para-church ministries, and then God gave her the opportunity to learn about WMF.
Nancy has no doubt that God has been leading her towards and preparing her for this ministry. She loves to work with women and loves to works with those in need. Nancy works as a social worker for the Casa de Esperanza.
