Radha was born on June 26, 1980 in Kolkata, India, in a traditional Hindu home. She was first introduced to the WMF and Sari Bari community through another organization in Kolkata called Connections, where she was employed for almost 3 years. After her resignation from there to have her son, she joined her husband, Upendra, at Sari Bari. In January 2007 she began working as an assistant helping with training, and quality control. Before she knew Jesus, Radha had no desire to serve in this kind of work, but once she began to learn about God’s love she grew in her desire to come and work with the ladies at Sari Bari and felt drawn to follow Christ’s voice in her life.
Radha loves Sari Bari because of the beautiful women she gets to work with, she knows that not very many Indians would choose to work with women leaving the sex trade and she wants every woman at Sari Bari to know they have value and are loved. Radha’s biggest dream is that throughout India there will not even be a small corner where a Sari Bari unit is not found and where freedom is not offered.
Radha is married to Upendra Prasad Saha and has two children Megha and Lucky. She currently serves at Sari Bari as a unit Production Manager.
