Sarah was born in California to some old hippies who love Jesus. She was raised, by amazing parents, to dream for the impossible and believe that God heard her prayers. She took a while to call Jesus her own, but at 17 she gave her life fully, and since that time God has lead her on a incredible journey into His arms of love, revealing His heart for her, for His beloved poor and for the women trapped in the sex trade in India.

Sarah served for two years (2001-2003) in Kolkata in the position of India Servant Team Coordinator and then returned to the WMF USA office in Omaha, Neb., for a little over two years to act as the Short Term Programs Coordinator.

Sarah returned in Kolkata in 2005 as the Field Director and has made her home next door to the red-light area to be near the women she serves. In 2006, Sarah and fellow community member Kristin Keen founded Sari Bari, a business initiative, to give freedom to women from the sex trade through alternative employment. Sarah is currently the Director of Sari Bari. Sarah also began serving as the South Asia Regional Coordinator in 2008. She continues to dream for things that she may never see and loves sharing life with her WMF Community, her friends at Sari Bari and in the lanes of the red-light area.
