Tara Scherer Haley has been involved with the Word Made Flesh community since 1994. She was a member of the WMF Discovery Team in 1994 and first Servant Team in 1995 . She currently serves the community in two ways, as community medical advisor since 1999 and general board member since 2001. She graduated from Taylor University in 1994 and Vanderbilt University in 1997 and has been practicing as a family nurse practitioner for the last 10 years among the homeless and immigrant populations of Nashville, TN, and Washington DC. She is married to Bill Haley and together they have three children, Liam, Iona and Baby Haley due in September 2007.
