At six months old, Twyla was adopted from Korea, and she grew up in a handful of states across the U.S. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Seattle Pacific University in 1996. Being surrounded by communities of Asians in college, Twyla began to wrestle with the importance of valuing each person's ethnic and cultural identity. Through these relationships and various mission trips, God began shaping her for her next steps in life. Twyla started to work on a master's in theology at Fuller Theological Seminary, in Pasadena, Calif., where she met her husband Rob. The time spent at Fuller gave her strong foundations for discovering who Christ calls his church to be in this world.
Twyla and Rob first joined WMF in 2002 as Servant Team Coordinators in Bangkok, Thailand. They are currently living in Atlanta, Ga., with their three kids. Twyla is excited to be a part of WMF again, assisting Chris as his Public Relations Liaison.
