Dear Friends of WMF’s South Asia Communities,
I hope this letter finds each of you doing well and encouraged by the coming season. I am encouraged as I remember that Christ came and continues to desire to come in the lives of our friends in Thailand, Nepal , Kolkata and Chennai, India. It is a season of HOPE because we can remember that we are embraced by Emmanuel, God with us, and a season for celebration because we know that the Kingdom is coming in the lives of our friends here in Asia in amazing and profound ways.
One of the most exciting gifts for me is the opportunity to celebrate with our Partners who lead, accompany and battle with us on the front lines for freedom, for the Kingdom and for Jesus’ love to shine though in our communities. In January 2010, we will be coming together as a region to celebrate together what God is doing and what He has done in our lives and the lives of our communities in the last three years.
We are a group of 4 communities in Asia serving in Bangkok, Thailand; Kathmandu, Nepal; Kolkata and Chennai, India. We will be coming together from January 21-24, 2010 in Chennai, India. We will be bringing together all of the WMF North American Staff and all of the WMF Partnering staff in the Region, for a time of celebration, prayer and reflection of what God has done in the Asia Region in the last three years.
We, as a region, are looking for supporters who will serve as prayer warriors for this time of Regional Celebration. If you would like to pray for us during the Retreat please send your email contact information to Beth Waterman (beth.waterman@wordmadeflesh.org) and we will send you prayer updates and a schedule so you will know how to pray.
We are also looking for friends, family and churches that might be willing come to alongside our communities with one time gifts to cover the costs of the retreat particularly for our partnering staff from India and Nepal. If you would like to join with us financially you can give through the WMF website (https://secure.groundspring.org/dn/index.php?aid=26156) or similarly you can mail a check to WMF, PO BOX 70, Omaha, NE 68101 and designate the funds for the Asia Regional Retreat.
