Position Papers

WMF "Position Papers" do not necessariliy represent the opinons of the entire WMF community, but seek to articulate alternative positions on issues of mission and spirituality. These positions find their basis in the WMF identity statements (preamble, philosophy of ministry, lifestyle celebrations and vision statement) as well as in the commitment to living out these statements in practical application. We seek to explain "What we mean by" the following topics:

'Kingdom of God', by David Chronic
'Holistic Ministry', by Rob O'Callaghan
'Poverty', by Chris Heuertz
'Evangelism', by David Chronic
'Community', by Walter Forcatto
'Incarnational Methodology', by Rob O'Callaghan
'Holistic Ministry', by Joshua Fowler

General Pieces

Because the page number of the print version of The Cry is limited, we aren’t always able to publish full versions of every article. And sometimes we are unable to fit articles that we would like to make available for the broader community to read. Here you will find some of the articles we haven’t been able to print and some of the articles that were trimmed down. For the longer versions of articles, we hope reading them here allows you, the reader, to experience everything the author intended for his or her piece to do without the boundaries of a page limit.

El Camino de Santiago: Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth, by Phileena Heuertz
The Road to Jericho, by Rich Nichols
Sharing Brokenness, Amanda Knihal
Submissions as Belonging, Sarah Dobrin
