July Prayer Letter

Dear friends,

Hello from Galati. By the time some of you read this letter, we may have landed back in the states for a 3 month maternity/paternity leave, beginning July 2nd. We’ve enjoyed 7 months of a healthy pregnancy and baby, and eagerly look forward to our last few months before we welcome this new life to our family! Many of the children at Casa Vale are excited as well, and it has been fun to share this pregnancy with them. Pray that our family will be a blessing to them, and that we can faithfully model a godly family for these children from broken homes.

During our leave of absence, we will be staying with Robin’s parents in Crawfordsville, IN and with Josh’s parents in Logansport, IN. Early in our stay, we hope to visit the Klepac family in Kentucky, our dear friends from Galati who recently moved to the states. After this, we will be soaking up time with family and friends and preparing to receive our little one, due August 15th. Josh will also be writing for our WMF Romania community and doing odd jobs to earn a little cash and stay busy.

Until then, we continue our responsibilities at Casa Vale. I (Robin) have been finishing up some eye doctor and dentist visits with children. I was also able to help a Roma family connect with a family doctor. Joshua has been consistant in game time and in working with the children who are earning extra cash for summer camp.

On June 10th we saw off our servant team from the past 4 months. Our community was truly blessed by their time with us. Please pray for Caitlin, Jordan and Angelique as they try to integrate the lessons learned among the children into life in the states. Pray for Laura as she travels and spends time with the WMF community in Sierra Leone, exploring the possibility of service there. Pray for Annie as she applies for WMF staff this fall and prepares to move to Moldova. Pray for Mary Margaret as she extends her stay in Galati with a 3 month internship, further exploring the desire to serve among the poor.

We’ve been in our new apartment for nearly a month now. We have felt many stresses lifted just by having more space, hot water, and being so much closer to Casa Vale. We already have enjoyed our first guests, Katie and Katy, from Indiana Wesleyan University. We feel that this apartment will be a blessing for our entire community. Pray for us to grow in being generous and hospitable.

Praise God that many of the children had great school years. Some were even first in their class! They began summer vacation on June 13th and we now enter our summer schedule. While it still includes studying, there will be summer clubs, outings, and camp to enjoy. Join us in keeping the staff close in thought and prayer even though Joshua and I will be gone for most of the summer.

Because of you, we are generously supported in prayer and with finances. We are honored. If any of you would be interested in supporting the children for their summer activities, we encourage you to consider a gift towards the general fund of WMF Romania.

With love,

Robin and Joshua Fowler
