I have been contemplating the last several weeks what makes me fully alive. One of the desert fathers said, “that the glory of God is the human being fully alive.” So what is it that makes me fully alive: Beauty, pushing myself beyond my capabilities, being apart of the transformation for the kingdom, Justice lived out, and Jesus sacrificial and amazing love for me, for us, for the world.

The details of our life and ministry are complicated these days. Our barn is not clean. The last few days have involved continuations of said dramas and today we sit, homeless, illegal, much of our earthly possessions in boxes with no where to go. Cold. Stinking. Messy.
